MPPM levels up with two major industry recognitions

Dr Lina Vyas, Programme Leader of Master of Public Policy and Management, third from right, poses with members of the programme team.

As part of the Master of Public Policy and Management (MPPM) programme’s commitment to international visibility and professional development, we are pleased to announce that the programme has officially become a member of the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) and has secured partial endorsement from the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM). These two milestones further enhance the competitiveness and global recognition of the programme.

NASPAA is a globally recognised membership organisation dedicated to graduate education in public policy, public affairs, public administration and public and nonprofit management. Membership enables the programme to strengthen its international visibility. We now join the likes of Harvard University, the University of Chicago, Princeton University, UC Berkeley and Tsinghua University in being acknowledged by NASPAA. This recognition will allow our students to access a wide range of resources and opportunities, helping them grow professionally with strengthened global networks. The platform will further enrich students’ learning experiences and deepen the programme’s international engagement.

As for the partial endorsement from HKIHRM, it affirms the programme’s alignment with professional standards in public policy, governance and human resource management. It reflects the programme’s relevance in the evolving landscape of public administration and human resources management. In addition, our students will gain increased exposure to a broad network of HR professionals and public administration practitioners in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

With the access to selected HKIHRM events and resources, our students will have opportunities to support their career development through professional engagement. We will continue to pursue full endorsement in the future, further strengthening the programme’s impact and value for aspiring public policy leaders!

The two recognitions obtained by the MPPM programme over the past few months provide our students with unique advantages, enhancing their learning experience and subsequent professional development.
